A tekAuthor Publication is a hierarchical collection of templated modular Part and Content Documents. The core feature of a tekAuthor Publication is the ability to resolve the modular Parts and Documents into a single tekAuthor Publication that reflects configurable auto-numbering, processing, and layout. The assembled tekAuthor Publication can be automatically published to tekReader in the cloud and other output channels.

When setting up a tekAuthor Publication there are some key points to remember:

• A tekAuthor Publication Document contains one or more Part Documents
• A Part Document can contain one or more Parts and/or Content Documents
• A Content Document contains Fragments that contain data rich content
